Roundtable Meetings
As your production start date nears, a roundtable meeting will be scheduled by the Film Commission. The meeting will acquaint you with the city and county and give all the people present an opportunity to brainstorm possible concerns. Roundtable meetings are required in lieu of a permit. The Film Commission will determine when a roundtable meeting is not needed. Some print and commercial projects may not have the complexities that require a meeting, while other long term projects may benefit from several meetings. Film Professionals That Need To Attend: The Producer, UPM, AD and Location Manager need to be present. When applicable, the Stunt Coordinator, Special Effects, Pyrotechnician and Director will also attend. Film Commission Representatives That Need To Attend: A representative from the Film Commission, Fire, Police, Sheriff, CHP, Posting for no parking, and other affected agencies. Film Professional Check List: To make the meeting a success, there is some important information that needs to be provided at the meeting. Bring a current script and crew list, one-line schedule, locations list and site plan drawings for any special situation such as stunts, car crash, use of city streets or detouring, special effects or pyrotechnics. Please bring posting of no parking requests and parking plans. We understand that some things may change. The roundtable meeting has proven to be an efficient and concise method to liaison with all the areas impacted by filming. You have the opportunity to meet with and discuss your concerns with the people that can make your job filming a success. |
