On Saturday, June 19, 2021, the Imperial County Film Commission will host its third in a series of virtual educational webinars: Locations Done Right. The webinars are free and open to the public.
The Film Commission has tapped JJ Levine to lead this discussion as her resume includes extensive experience in television, feature films, commercials, music videos and new media. She is currently the 1st Vice-President of the Location Manager Guild International. Prior to location managing, Levine worked as a development executive, producer and production manager for Tri-Star Pictures, Columbia Television, TNT, NATGEO, PBS and CBS Television.
This webinar will cover topics that affect location scouting, location management, departmental interactions and interacting with the public.

About the Presenter:
Location Manager J.J. Levine recently completed, “Gumshoe”, a TV pilot for HBO Max. Her credits include hundreds of television commercials, the television series “Sunnyside” for NBC, “The Mayor”, for ABC and “Future Man” for Hulu. Levine was also the Location Manager for the 2015/2016 primetime ABC series “The Muppets” and the Bollywood Film, “My Name is Khan.” As a Key Assistant Location Manager, she worked on the first few seasons of “NCIS-LA”, “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior” and “Ringer” with Sarah Michelle Gellar. Prior to location managing, Levine worked as a development executive, producer and production manager for Tri-Star Pictures, Columbia Television, TNT, NATGEO, PBS and CBS Television. She was also a Brand Marketing/Public Relations Manager for Ironstone Vineyards and Brown-Forman Beverages Worldwide, with responsibility for promoting tourism and marketing luxury wine brands.
Ms. Levine is currently Co-Chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee for the LMGI. She strongly believes the location manager skillset of the ability to balance logistics with creative and strategic thinking, along with interpersonal and public relationship skills are key to establishing and maintaining the bonds with local community, city officials and press that are core to meeting the mission of the LMGI.
