Deserts
The Imperial Valley is surrounded by numerous desert bodies. Each offers unique recreation, services, sightseeing and wildlife. Ocotillo Desert is home to a spread of high technology wind mills. The Algodones dunes include Glamis, which has become infamous for its sandy dunes that cascade the region. Anza-Borrego Desert has also gained attention due to its share of wildlife, scenery and a superbloom in 2017.
